Year 6 Weekly Blog

31.1.25
Good afternoon,
This week we have been practising our dance routines in PE in preparation for the Brock Dance Off which will take place the week before half-term. The children are coming up with some brilliant ideas, thinking about how they can add in actions, levels and balance work.
In maths this week, we have been learning about algebra. At first, the children thought it would be tricky but by the end of the week they have all realised that actually algebra can be good fun!
In Guided Reading, we have been looking at a new text called Rose Blanche. This is another text related to WW2 and the children have been making lots of inferences about what will happen next and the character's feelings.
Yesterday, the children went to the village hall to watch Sleeping Beauty. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and they were brilliantly behaved.
We hope you all have a lovely weekend.
