Good afternoon,

Thank you to everyone for bringing in costumes. Please don't worry if you have not been able to yet, as long as they are in somewhen next week, then it's not a problem. If you do need any help at all with costumes, do email or come and see Miss Martin. 

We have been using our maths 'profit and loss' lessons to help the children to prepare for this weekend's Summer Fete. Miss Martin and Mrs Martin will be here at 11 to help the children to set up. We appreciate that some children may not be able to join, but we will help those that are here as much as possible. 

Mrs Edwards very kindly recommended a fantastic book for us to read in Year 6 as our 'daily reader'. It is called 'Moving Up' by Christian Foley, and it teaches children about some of the changes that are to come with the transition to secondary school. With all the induction sessions and meetings with secondary staff, this has been a really useful book to help reassure the children and answer some of the questions they may have. We won't manage to finish the book by the time Year 6 leave us, but I'd really recommend the children reading it at home if you are able to purchase it. Please see the link below:

Don't forget we have our trip to Paultons Park next week. Please make sure the children have sun-cream, water bottles and a packed lunch if you have not ordered one from the school kitchen. We anticipate being back to school for 4:15pm.
