Hello everyone,

This week we have finished our English unit, studying and comparing the two books called 'The Lion and the Unicorn' and 'Rose Blanche'. The children wrote some fantastic discussions, giving their opinions on the ending of 'Rose Blanche'. Next week, we will be moving on to exploring some non-fiction texts in English. 

In Maths, we have been recapping angles and learning about how to calculate missing angles on a line, on intersecting lines and within a triangle. The children have done really well and their homework next week will help to consolidate this learning. 

The children have designed bags for a gas mask in D&T, using research that they have done and creating a prototype in readiness for making their own bags next week. They are very excited by this project! 

Miss Sharp has completed her first full week with us in Year 6. She is a student from The University of Winchester and is in her final year of training to be a teacher. The children have all welcomed her, and we are lucky enough to have her teaching with us until Easter.
