Year 6 Weekly Blog
21.1.22
Good afternoon,
The children have had their creative hats on today: in D&T they have been practising their sewing skills and in Art they have been using pastels to create a scene from 'The Blitz'. They look fantastic!
We have read a rather chilling book in English this week called 'Rose Blanche', who is a German child during WW2. The children have been planning a written discussion which they will write on Monday, analysing the book and giving their own opinion.
In Maths, we have been working hard on ratio. This was a new concept to many of the children so will be something that we revisit regularly through our 'Morning Maths' to keep this new skill ticking over.
Please see our display which shows some of our work linked to WW2 so far...more to come!
We hope you all have a lovely weekend.
