Round up of the week

English

We have been writing a chapter for “Dead Man’s Cover” this week. The children have brought together all the skills that we have re-visited over the past few weeks in order to produce detailed and effective pieces of writing. The amount of detail in the writing has been very impressive, as has the level of enjoyment from the children.

Maths

We have continued to look at addition this week including with decimals and without, where the missing numbers are in the middle of the sums and problem solving. This core understanding of maths will assist them greatly as they progress through secondary.

Science

The children loved examining bikes and in particular, the gears and fiction involved in cycling a bike. The element of competition in trying to see how many times they could rotate the pedal in a minute also added to the run!
