Year 5 Blog
Week beginning 30.09.24
Dear parents and carers
Thank you for sending your child in with contributions to our Harvest Worship- Mel’s service was lovely, the children’s singing filled the space, and we were blessed to be in such beautiful surroundings.
On Monday Year 5 had the opportunity to create their annual Christmas Cards and thoroughly enjoyed the creative nature of the designing and then mono-printing (using polystyrene tiles). We really hope you will like them.
In maths we have started our new unit on adding and subtracting and the children have been set homework on Ed Shed around this learning.
In writing the children have been practising using imagery to create a mood in a setting.
In science we have been delving deeper into classification looking at the different kingdoms scientists use to classify living things.
We have finished our Travel Book reading unit, and next week we will commence The Dragon Of Krakow.
Have a lovely weekend.
