Dear parents and carers,

Year 5 have been working really hard on angles over the past couple of weeks and have had a lot of success. Next week we will be moving onto 3-dimensional shapes and translation.

In writing we have focused on modal verbs and the structure and language features of a formal report, based on the lunar landings.

In D&T this week we have been investigating different types of cam toys. The children were evaluating existing toys, including thinking about the design and structure of the toy.

In PE we were the first class to test out the Pickle Ball kit - it was a resounding success!

The children are learning and rehearsing the Y5 song for the production. You will be receiving an email from Miss Martin about costumes for the show.

For the children going to cricket on Monday with Mrs Cooper, they will need layers (including a coat) and a packed lunch. Also, they can bring joggers to put over shorts for when they are not playing if they would like.
