Dear parents and carers,

For our maths lesson on Tuesday, please could the children collect and bring in cartons, containers and bottles for our work on capacity.

Quick reminder that next Thursday 2nd of February is the Year 5 trip to Winchester Science Centre. The letter that went home is attached detailing timings and what to bring on the day.

This week in reading we were continuing learning about non-fiction text features using The Travel guide book. The children have found out some interesting facts about different countries, which really helped with their geography work.

In maths, we have grappled with working with decimal numbers - tenths, hundredths and thousandths. 

For geography the children learnt about the legend of Andrew Irvine and George Mallory, and created a front page of a newspaper.
