Year 5 Blog

Week beginning 26.09.22
Dear parents and carers,
This week year 5 were the best safeguarding detectives in the school and earnt class marbles as a result.
We started our new text, The Errand, which the children are intrigued by. They thoroughly enjoyed the drama lesson where they were creating different atmospheres based around the errand boy and the Whispering Woods.
Mrs Edwards was brave and let Year 5 mix powder paint!! They used various shades of green to create a colour composition.
In RE, we are studying the concepts of Holy and Loving in relation to Coventry Cathedral. The children responded to the huge stained-glass window, designed by John Piper.
We have had a challenging week in maths grappling with multi-step subtraction and addition problems. The children showed great resilience.
