Dear parents and carers,

In class worship this week we discussed National Children's Day, which is on Sunday 15th May. The theme this year is kindness. The children talked about all the ways that they show kindness in school, and we recognised ways we could help each other feel happier. 

In maths this week we were converting different measures and at the end of the week we practised our problem-solving skills. 

In English, we have continued our reading work looking at the book The Nowhere Emporium and making fantastic inferences about the characters. In writing, we have been learning about the different features of a persuasive letter.

For geography, we have been learning about key features of National Parks and why we should protect them.

Science was another lesson of investigations. This week we learnt about refraction. The children thoroughly enjoyed the experiments.
