Well done to the children on a great first week of learning. We have been reestablishing class and whole school routines as well as getting to know the children. 

This week we have been very busy. For instance, we have learnt how to do leaf mono printing in art, testing materials for their properties in science, tasting bread in preparation for designing and making their own later in the term in D&T. In PE, we have started our tennis unit and indoor ball skills and we have created our own class charter.

We have noticed that as the week has gone on, the children are starting to bring toys in. Please can they keep these at home.

Can we please stress how important it is for your child to get to school at 8.30 in the morning. We always have a morning task linked to Year 5 learning objectives which the children start as soon as they enter class. We do not want your child to miss this important learning time.
