We have had a great week! It has been very nice to have the sun shining and we have made the most of being able to get outside. One of our highlights was being treated to a fantastic drama performance by some students from Brockenhurst College. Year 4 thoroughly enjoyed the performances and were a fantastic audience!

In other news this week, we have stepped into the shoes of a reporter in our English lessons. We have planned and written reports detailing the events in Barleycorn Land. The class of reporters have worked hard to ensure their reports were sequenced, organised into paragraphs and had a formal, informative tone. They did a great job!

In maths this week, we have been dividing one and two-digit numbers by 100. The class used their knowledge of dividing one and two-digit numbers by 10 as well applying their understanding of decimals. We then moved on to making a whole using tenths. We used our prior knowledge of bonds to 10 and 100 and this supported us when working with tenths.

Reminder – please can all children come to school with a named water bottle.
