Year 4
Year 4 - 15.03.2024
We have had a great week in Year 4! We are really enjoying our netball sessions and have been able to adapt our timetable to enjoy PE outside! It has been great to see the skills progression over the past few weeks.
In English this week, we have been continuing the journey with our wordless picture book, ‘Flood’. In preparation for writing the words to accompany the pictures, we have recapped different types of sentences and how to punctuate speech correctly. We have ended the week by applying this learning to one page from the book. I was very impressed with the quality of writing – well done Year 4!
In maths we have been looking at fractions. We have been recapping the language used within our fractions teaching and have counted fractions beyond one. We have been converting between mixed number and improper fractions. The class have worked really hard and shown great resilience with a challenging topic. We will be continuing with fractions next week.
It was great to see many of you at our Hooke Court meeting today. As promised, I have attached the PowerPoint presentation. Please do contact me if you have any queries or questions.
