What an exciting day! The children are very happy that it is now December and I think the frosty morning added to the excitement! We have also decorated all of the classroom doors which are now looking wonderfully festive. We all had great fun joining in with our annual Zoom around the school to see all of the designs.

In other news this week, we have now finished our writing unit linked to ‘The Firework Maker’s Daughter’. The children have planned and written their own diary entries from the perspective of Lila. They have worked hard to capture her determined nature and subtle humour. Well done Year 4!

In maths, we have been looking at using our knowledge of rounding to help us estimate. The children have become more and more fluent when rounding and this has really supported them when getting to grips with estimating.
