Year 4
Year 4 - 11.03.2022
The children have had a fantastic end to the week and have completed their Design and Technology project for this term. In small groups they went to the kitchen and prepared the wraps that they had designed last week. We are very proud of how sensible the children were. In the afternoon, we invited year six to come and taste our wraps. We then tasted our own wraps and completed an evaluation based on what we liked and what we would change or add next time. We all had lots of fun.
Another highlight this week was taking part in our second cricket session with Coach Ryan. The children are all so enthusiastic and are really enjoying the sessions.
In English this week we have been looking at some of the features that the author has used in ‘Arthur and the Golden Rope’. We recapped speech and prepositions and then looked at what effect the features of the text have on the reader.
In maths, we started the week by continuing with shape. Year 4 worked really hard and found out all about quadrilaterals and lines of symmetry. We have then ended the week by adding and subtracting two 4 digit numbers.
We hope you all enjoy the weekend.
