We have had a great week in year 4. In English the children have written their news reports based on our text ‘The Firework Maker’s Daughter’. We have now moved on to our new unit which is ‘The Polar Express’. The class are really enjoying watching some clips from the film and exploring the text.

In maths we have been busy working on our 6 and 12 times tables. We have also been building our fluency in the times tables we are already familiar with. Hit The Button is a fantastic way to build number fluency at home: https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/hit-the-button

We have ended the week with our annual Maths Olympics! The children had brilliant fun working in teams, completing the assault course and answering different maths questions as a team. I was very impressed with the support they showed for others in their team and their resilience! Great work year 4!
