Reading Books:

Reading books must be in school everyday as we try to read in school everyday. The children take responsibility for changing their own books as and when they need to. This can be done on any day.

Home Learning:

Homework is usually set on a Thursday (occasionally Friday) and is due in on the following Wednesday.  I will also start to set an activity on Mathletics each week as an extra that can be completed if you have time. I will give each child a copy of their login details, although they haven't changed from last year. Times tables will be tested every Friday and spellings every Monday. I have finished assessing the children's spelling and will send their new words out early next week.

PE:

Our PE lessons are on Tuesday and Friday. PE kits must be in school everyday as we will soon be starting to run the Golden Mile on the days we don't have a PE lesson and the children must have trainers for this. Swimming will take place in the Spring term and you will have more details closer to the time.

Classroom Help:

Help from parents is a valuable resource in school. If any of you could spare some time to come in and help with tasks such as hearing children read I would be delighted to hear from you, either via the office and talk to me directly after school. All helpers are required to have had a DBS check.
