Year 3
Friday Blog - Friday 24th January
Good afternoon everyone,
We have had a very busy week in Year 3. Science on Thursday was a popular highlight, when we made lemon volcanoes. I'm sure your child will be able to tell you all about it.
We have finished our work around the Mousehole Cat. The children have loved this book and are sad that we won't be visiting Mousehole every day, via the webcam. All they wanted was to see some stormy seas, yet despite the winds of Storm Eowyn, we still never managed to see huge waves crashing over the breakwater.
We had another excellent session in the pool on Tuesday. The instructors were very impressed by how the children's stamina was improving. The children have to work hard as the lesson is an hour in the water. The children were tired on our return to school, particularly as we have to get straight on with Maths. If possible, please could you give your child a snack to have when we get back to school.
Just a couple of reminders - please make sure reading books and PE kits are in school every day. Our library change day was Tuesday, but we are not managing to squeeze it in due to swimming. We will try and make sure we fit it in on Wednesdays instead.
Have a lovely weekend,
Clare
