Good afternoon Everyone,

We have had a lovely week in Roe Deer Class. The children have settled down in their new year group and have started to show me what a hard working group of children they can be. A big well done to all of them.

In English we have loved our book, Interview with a Tiger and have had a go at writing in a similar style. We are looking forward to writing our own interviews of Stone Age Beasts, another great book we have been looking at.

In maths, we have continued working on place value and have started to partition 3 digit numbers. I have set the children their first homework for the year on EdShed. There are 3 maths tasks, relating to place value and spelling games linked to the list of words we have looked at in class today. 

Passwords for EdShed, TT Rock Stars and the SORA app are in the front of the children's reading diaries. TT Rock Stars is a fantastic website that supports children learning their times tables. Some of the children have had a go this afternoon and loved it! I have attached a letter below which explains how to use the e-reader library via the SORA website.
