Year 3
Friday Blog - Friday 13th October
Good evening everyone,
Our learning value this half-term has been 'being ambitious'. Lots of our worships over the half-term have looked at how we can be ambitious in our learning and in other aspects of our lives. The children have enjoyed hearing the childhood ambitions of the teachers and thinking about their own ambitions for the future. Today we looked back over half a term in Year 3, thinking about what we have achieved so far and what we hope to achieve in the rest of the year.
The children were also very thoughtful earlier in the week during our RE lesson. We have been learning about The Creation Story. The focus this week was on what we can do to care for God's wonderful creation - the children were full of lots of fantastic ideas. It linked nicely to our Monday worship when we were joined by members of Greener Brockenhurst. We have had elections for our representatives for the school eco-committee. The children who wanted to be considered all stood up to share why they thought they would be a good rep for our class. I will count the votes over the weekend...
The weather seems to be becoming more autumnal; we were caught out on our daily mile today when the rain suddenly poured on us. Please make sure your child has a coat with them every day.
We checked the forecast earlier today and it looks much better for Saturday and Sunday - have a great weekend.
