Year 3
Friday Blog - Friday 8th September
Good afternoon everyone and welcome to the first Friday Blog of the new year!
We have all had a great first week in Year 3, despite at some points it being so hot in the classroom that we thought we might melt! The children are already showing me what enthusiastic learners they can be, so I am confident that they will rise to the challenges ahead.
I have heard all your children read this week and they should all have their new reading book and diary in their bags. Books should be in school every day as we hear them read across the week. Book change happens once a week on Thursdays. They have all chosen a library book too, but this might not have come home. We haven't yet sorted the library timetable, so I will let you know which day library change is next week.
We have already had PE this week, our days being Tuesday and Friday. Many thanks to all those who already have PE kits in school. Please make sure they are all here by Monday.
Year 3 will be having Forest School this term on a Thursday afternoon. Half the class went on Thursday - Miss Jones' managed to keep them all clean, but next week they will need appropriate clothing and footwear.
If any of you have a spare hour or two each week and would like to volunteer in school, please do get in touch. This could be to hear reading or maths fluency, or even supporting at forest school.
