Reading:

 

All reading assessments have now been completed and children have been given new reading records and a reading book.  The books can be changed as often as required and we remind children daily to hand in any finished books. We recommend that children are reading at home 3 times a week minimum.

 

Home Learning:

All children have a new Home Learning book that they were given this week.  It included their first piece of homework for this term. Homework will be set on a Wednesday.  I would be grateful if it could be returned to school on a Tuesday. We are also using Mathletics again this year.   I have assigned tasks and given each child a copy of their login details.

 

Classroom Help

We are very grateful to have some wonderful helpers who come in to assist with changing books, key words and reading with the children etc.  If you are interested in coming into help, please let me know.  All helpers are required to complete a DBS check.

 

PE:

PE will take place on a Thursday afternoon.  However we would appreciate it if PE kits could be in school every day in case of any changes or extra sporting activities.
