We Enjoy and Excel in the Presence of God

Year 2

17/01/25

Hello,

This week we have been reading ‘New Forest Friends and the Litterbugs’ by local author Simon Chadwick and talking about the importance of caring for our environment and how harmful littering is to the forest animals.

In English we have been using adjectives to describe things and planning a story based on our book ‘Lila and the Rain’.

For maths we have been making amounts of money using pound and pence and counting in 2s, 5s and 10s.

In Geography the children have been comparing Kampong Ayer in Brunei and Brockenhurst, it was really interesting using Google Earth to explore both areas.

Our spellings this week have been – knock, knit, know, gnash and wrap.

Spellings and maths practice are on Ed Shed – this is a quick fun way to practice important skills.

Have a lovely weekend!
