Year 2
Thursday 4th July 2024
It has been a lovely week in Penguin class!
In English we have started our final text of the year Can I Build Another Me? In this story a little boy called Kevin decides to make a clone of him which causes him to explore what makes him. Linking to this we have been exploring what make us including our similarities and differences to others.
In maths we have continued our work on time. The children's time skills have improved enormously, however, if you were able to practise this at home that would be amazing!
We have also learnt how to play rounders in PE and been learning about how Hindu's show kindness in RE.
Few Admin Bits and Bobs:
We still need lots of recycling to make our Explorer vehicles next week - if you have any resources we could use at home please could you send them into school.
We are packing up the library on Monday ready for it to be re-decorated over the summer holidays. If your child has any library books at home please could they come into school as soon as possible.
Finally, in preparation for sending your child's books home at the end of the year please could you send in a strong plastic bag.
Thank you very much for all your support.
Have a lovely rest of the week and a brilliant weekend!
