Year 2

It has been a jammed packed week in Penguin class with lots of exciting activities squeezed in!
As you know on Monday we went to Avon Tyrell. Penguins had a fantastic day with the opportunity to do some archery, go on the adventure course and also try the low ropes course. The children did not stop smiling all day and it was also really lovely to see their team work skills develop as the day went on.
We have also spent lots of time doing DT this week - we have been learning about healthy and unhealthy foods and have then used this knowledge to design, make, eat and evaluate our own vegetable platters. Lots of the children tried new vegetables during this and realised they liked more things than they thought!
Yesterday we also had our Easter service and today we have been treated to a drama workshop based on the story of the Twits - we have some brilliant actors in Penguin class!
Penguins well done on another fantastic terms work! Your ongoing enthusiasm to learn is amazing and I am so proud of how hard you have all been working to develop your resilience and team work skills. Give yourselves a huge round of a claws, a big marshmallow clap and 3 whooshes for being superstars!
I hope you all have a brilliant Easter holiday filled with lots of fun and relaxation and I will see you after the holidays!
Miss Michael :)
