I hope you all had a lovely half term break and welcome back!

This week we have started a new English unit based on the book the True Story of the 3 Little Pigs. It has been really lovely to witness the children gradually understand the subtle humour in the story as we have unpicked it and they now find it hilarious whenever I read it to them! In maths we have been learning how to count in 3’s and also using related facts to help us answer questions and problem solve. 

In art we have started a new Easter Egg unit  and in history we have started exploring the achievements of some Great Explorers. We also have music every week this half term which Penguins absolutely love!

And to finish the week this morning we have had our Brockenhurst danceathon! The children competed in their houses within each year group! All of penguins did a fantastic job with some super moves to the song Dance Monkey!
