Year 2
Thursday 20th October 2022
I can't believe it's half term tomorrow! The first part of the Autumn term has flown by!
It has been really lovely to chat to all of you this week and share your child's successes from the year so far - they are all superstars and I am very proud of each and every one of them!
Penguins have continued to complete lots of fantastic work this week. In English, we have been reading How to Wash a Woolly Mammoth and have been exploring instructions. In maths, we have been adding 1 digit numbers to 2 digit numbers, in science, we have been sorting animals based on whether they are a carnivore, omnivore or herbivore and in art Penguins have finished their Frozen Planet project.
We have also added another clap to our collection this week - Penguins give yourself a huge ketchup clap for all your amazing work so far!
On another note, I know some of you mentioned at parents evening that your child really enjoyed writing at home. With this in mind, if they wanted a half term task they could write a postcard to Penguin class telling us all about what they have been up to - we will have a look at these on the first day back.
If I don't see you at home time tomorrow, I hope you all have a brilliant half term with lots of fun and relaxation and I can't wait to hear what the children have been up to when we return!
Miss Michael :)
