Year 2
Friday 7th October 2022
The highlight of our week was our visit to Woodpeckers. The children got to complete lots of lovely Autumn themed activities including making bird feeders, decorating biscuits, weaving with natural resources and some bird spotting. I was incredibly proud of how well the children behaved at Woodpeckers too with all of them remembering their manners and chatting to the residents lots too - give yourselves a huge marshmallow clap for being superstars!
Aside from our Woodpeckers visit the children have completed lots of other brilliant work!
In maths, we have been practicing our number bonds to 10, 20 and 100 and in English we have planned our own characters and stories in the same style as Blue Penguin - I know the children are very excited to write these next week.
In science we have been learning about world habitats specifically the ocean, rainforest, desert and Artic and in geography we have been comparing the Antarctica and Artic. The children have really enjoyed these lessons and asked lots of fantastic questions to further their learning too!
Penguins a huge well done for working incredibly hard again this week - it’s so difficult to choose star of the day each day as they all deserve it!
Have a lovely weekend and I will see you next week!
Miss Michael :)
