Round up of the week

English

This week we have been looking at the feelings of the characters in our class book “Tidy” together with the use of verbs in the text.

Maths

We have been learning about telling time to the hour, half hour, quarter past and quarter to. The children have loved telling me the times that they do certain activities at home.

Science

The children have been learning about the value of exercise this week.

Children’s Mental Health Week

The children have enjoyed discussing their changing emotions at the start of the year and comparing them to how they feel now. They have also been looking forward to what they want to work on ahead of Year 3.

We finished the week by creating Trees of Calm based on rubbings and leafs found round the school. There was some lovely trees created by the children.
