We are feeling very festive in year 2! Our post box is nearly full and we have spent time creating our Christmas door! The children had a lovely time drawing around their hands, cutting them out and decorating them beautifully with lots of glitter!

In English we have continued to explore the poem ‘Snow’. We have focussed on what images we create in our minds when we listen to ‘Snow’ and a range of other winter themed poems. The children came up with some fantastic language to go with the pictures they had drawn. We also compared two different winter poems and looked at using the present tense.

In maths we have continued with multiplication. We have been using pictures and bar models to represent our number sentences and know that multiplication is commutative. We have looked specifically at the 2 and 10 times tables and solved lots of different problems.
