We have had a great week in year 2! I wanted to start by saying thank you so much for the amazing World Book Day outfits, £1 donations and book donations. We had a brilliant day.  We focused on using ‘The Snail and the Whale’ by Julia Donaldson.  We spent time reading the book, watching the animation and then created a story map of the events. We then used all of our knowledge to re-write the story from the snail’s point of view.  All children have a World Book Day voucher to use before 29^th March.

In maths we have continued exploring 3 shapes. We are able to identify and describe the properties of lots of 3D shapes. We have finished the week by revisiting fractions of shape – finding thirds and reminding ourselves about the equivalence of ½ and 2/4.
