This week in English we have been reading ‘Only One You’. This is a lovely story with beautiful illustrations. We have made sure we know what happens in the story by answering questions and written descriptions of Adri the fish. We have ended the week by planning a brand new adventure for Adri.  We will be turning these into our own books next week.

In maths we have been comparing numbers using <, > and =.  The children have picked this up really well and we have had lots of opportunity to apply this knowledge to problem solving activities. We are also focussing on counting in 10’s from different number – noticing that the amount of ones stay the same and it is only the tens that either increase or decrease.

We have spent our Golden Time outside making the most of the sunshine this afternoon. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves, especially having an extra go on the adventure playground!
