What a lovely end to a great week – thank you to all of the family members who came to see us this morning.  It was a pleasure to have you all here and we hope you enjoyed helping create the clay sculptures.

This week in maths we have been looking at ½ and 2/4 and recognising that they are equivalent. We have proved this is a variety of ways using shapes and objects and working with our partners. We have also applied this knowledge to problem solving activities.  We have also applied this knowledge to problem solving activities.

This week in English we have used ‘Lila and the secret of the rain’ as our inspirations and planned and written our own story.  We have many wonderful creations, such as; ‘Ruby and the secret of the snow’. I am really impressed with the level of writing and the choices that the class are making about their vocabulary.  Well done year 2!
