What a fantastic first week! The children have settled in really well and are enjoying getting to know the routine of Year 1. They are already becoming more independent and are happy and bubbly in the classroom and on the playground.

We are currently assessing their reading, handwriting, key words as well as basic maths and English. Once this is complete, we will be sending them home with a reading book and a set of key words. Home learning will also start next week. More information will follow in book bags.  Until the books come home, please read as much as possible with your child at home. We will get the books to you as quickly as possible.
