Year 1
Friday 2nd December
Well done for a great week Koalas!
In maths this week, we have been working hard to become confident in writing a number sentence. We have used different resources and pictures to help us and we are now very confident in doing this independently!
In writing, we have been spotting verbs in our book ‘Lost in the Toy Museum’. We have been acting out different verbs and then writing our own sentences.
In science, we have been continuing with our topic of animals. We have watched some videos of different predators and prey and sorted different animals into categories.
On Wednesday, we had a lovely morning at Woodpeckers Care Home. We sang all of our Nativity songs to the residents which everyone really enjoyed. The children did themselves proud as they were all very smiley and polite. A big thank you to Woodpeckers for having us!
We are all very much looking forward to our Nativity performances next week. The children have all been working extremely hard. When the children finish their afternoon performance on Wednesday, we will send them home in their costumes. Please can we ask that they come to the Thursday evening performance already dressed in their costumes. Thank you.
Well done Koalas for such positive attitudes and working hard, as always. Make sure you rest those singing voices ready for our performances next week!
Have a lovely weekend.
Miss Prichard and Mrs Kitcher.
