Hello everyone!

What a great week we have had! The children are now fully settled into their new year 1 routines. Spelling shed and Mathletics homework were set on Wednesday. Passwords for these can be found in the front of your child’s reading record. 

In English we have been following on our story of Jack and the Beanstalk, the children have been writing as if they were Jack in different parts of the story. They have had a great time being Jack and thinking about his feelings. In maths this week, we have been looking at the position and order of numbers on a number line. We  have used physical number lines and number cards to do this. 

In Science we were outside again, this week looking at wild plants that grow around the school. In P.E, we had a brilliant time practising our catching skills. The children all tried really hard which I was very proud of them for. 

Just a quick note from Mrs Morris, if anyone has any books they took home before lockdown please could we have them back in.
