This week in English and maths, we have been assessing what the children have learnt so far this year. We have completed a reading comprehension and are in the process of hearing all the children read so that we can look again at what box they are on. In order to move up a box, the children need to be able to talk about what they have read as well as read it fluently. We are getting so much better at this. In writing, we have been writing a story based on The Storm Whale.

In maths we have been looking at multiplying using arrays. We have had to create our own and read arrays that have already been created. 

Please can you make sure that now the good weather is upon us (fingers crossed it continues), your child has a named water bottle in school and a sun hat. Please also make sure that they have sun cream on before they come to school in the morning, so that they are fully protected at break times.
