The children have settled well back into school after half term. 

We have had a busy week. We have started reading our new book, Pumpkin Soup. We have enjoyed using our new supermarket role play this afternoon to buy vegetables for our soup. 

In our writing sessions, we have been preparing to write our shopping list for our trip to Village Veg. We will be going on Monday morning to buy the ingredients. On Tuesday, we are looking forward to inviting you in at 2pm to try the soup! 

In maths, we have been looking at shapes, in particular triangles and circles. We have created some excellent shape pictures which have been so creative, including crowns, a monster truck, the sun, cats and mice. 

We enjoyed learning about Diwali this week and made some lovely Rangoli patterns. 

We also learnt about Bonfire Night and created some brilliant pictures with pastels of bright colourful fireworks.
