Good afternoon,
We have had a lovely week in Badger class.
In Drawing Club this week, we have been reading The Three Billy Goats Gruff. The children have really enjoyed joining in with this story and there have been some excellent drawings of the troll and the bridge. It has been lovely to see them using this story in their role play and when they are using the small world toys and construction.
I hope the children have been enjoying their reading books, we have been very impressed when we have heard them read this week. A reminder that we change books on a Tuesday and Friday but it would be a great help if books can be kept in bags all week as we may hear them read at any point. Thank you.
It would also be useful if library books could be kept in their bags all week too. This is in case of any unscheduled changes to our weekly timetable, as I’m sure you can appreciate is quite common and often out of my control! Thank you for your understanding.
I have sent the children home with handwriting homework – very exciting! These are the sounds that we have learnt so far, it would be great if the children could practice these at home and use the rhymes at the bottom of the page to remember the formation. These are to be worked on at home when it suits you – it can be done as little or as much as you like. Of course, the more practice the better! These don’t need to be brought back to school but if the children would like to share what they have done, we’d love to see it.
Have a lovely weekend,
Miss Prichard
