We have had a great first week back.
We thoroughly enjoyed our first forest school session on Monday. There were lots of activities to choose from, including mud kitchen, wooden block construction play, weaving ‘God’s eyes’, working with clay and paint and balancing on the slack line. Everybody was very busy and focused and it was great to see them exploring our outdoor space. We were then very lucky to have a second session on Thursday. We will continue with Forest School on Monday.
We have been reading the Very Hungry Caterpillar this week and also welcomed our very own caterpillars to look after! We have been enjoying observing them and really looking forward to seeing them grow into butterflies! I have been very impressed when listening to Badgers retell the story with help from their stick puppets they have made.
In maths, we have continued learning how to share equally and understanding whether we can share odd and even numbers equally between 2. Badgers have understood this very well and are very good at explaining how they know.
Have a lovely weekend.
