We have had a very busy week in Badger class.
On Thursday afternoon, we had a fantastic time at the village hall watching the pantomime of Cinderella. The children sat beautifully the whole way through, joining in and taking part in the singing and dancing.
On Monday, we followed our recipes to make porridge. We all went into the kitchen in small groups to make it. We poured the oats and the milk, stirred it and then put it in the microwave. We then added some golden syrup! We had to taste it to see if it was too hot, too cold or just right! Luckily it was just right. Well done Badgers.
In the writing area this week, we have been using these photos to help us to write about the porridge and how we made it. We have cut up photos of us making the porridge and sticking them on paper and adding labels of what is happening in the photo.
In maths, we have been learning about odd and even numbers. We have been learning about this in lots of ways, including standing in pairs to see how many children we have and if there is an odd or even amount, using tens frames and proving it using written down jottings. Fantastic maths learning this week Badgers, well done.
The children have gone home with a new handwriting book today. These are the last sounds that we will learn! It seems like a lot but we have lots of time to consolidate and apply them.
Have a lovely weekend,
Miss Prichard
