We have been very busy this week.
We have been busy practising our nativity with the pre-school children. The children are showing lots of enthusiasm towards the singing and dancing. Thank you to everyone who has been able to practise their lines at home!
We went on an autumnal welly walk yesterday. We were looking for different autumnal objects and ticking them off as we found them. We then collected pine cones and used them for our maths activity today. We are looking at the composition of the number 6 and we used the pine cones to practically make what numbers you can add together to make 6.
We have been experimenting with colour mixing this week in art. The children were predicting what colour you would get if you mix two different paints together. We had some very surprising results!
We were very lucky to have a lovely parent in yesterday to talk to us about Thanksgiving. The children found it really interesting to hear all about the different foods to eat and how it is celebrated. It sounds like such a lovely holiday. Thank you so much.
Well done to the Badgers who are becoming really secure with their tricky words. Practise makes perfect!
Next week, we are starting our bike ability sessions. If you ticked that you have your own bike, please bring it to school every day. Thank you.
Next week, we are beginning to think more about the Christmas story in RE. Please, if possible, could you send my way (email or a physical copy) a baby photo of your child? This will help our discussions around the birth of Jesus and hopefully contextualise it for them. Thank you!
Thank you for your continued support.
Have a lovely weekend.
