Hello,

Apologies for the lack of a blog, Little Wandle books and Edshed - we have been having a few technical issues.  Hopefully these will be fully resolved by next week.

In Year 1 we have been learning all about the seaside! In English we have been reading a lovely book called 'The Storm Whale' by Benji Davies. The children are writing their own stories about finding a sea creature on the beach.

In Geography, we have been looking at different things we find at the beach and activities you can do.

For Maths we have made arrays of numbers and grouped and shared objects. For example, how many different equal groups can we make out of 20 objects? What is 10 shared by 2?

In Science we are learning all about plants. Looking at different types of bulbs and seeds and the different parts of plants.

In phonics we are revising sounds, especially split digraphs a-e,o-e,u-e and spotting them in words such as make, take, phone, bone, use, cute.
